Where it all began…

What happens when two Italian travel professionals, with over 40 years of combined industry experience, and a passion for the preservation of creative heritage join forces?

Meet Federica Baggiani, founder of Studiainitalia and Laura Notarbartolo, founder of Italian Special Occasions! Together they form the creative duo who founded Creative Italy.

Here they tell us about what inspired the thinking behind Creative Italy…

Creative Italy are passionate about introducing you to a different way to travel and to explore new places. The preservation of history, heritage, and culture is vital for future generations. We believe that learning these artisan handicrafts is one way in which we can help to do this. No matter your age or ability it’s never too late to get creative!

What We Do

We specialize in showcasing traditional Italian handicrafts firsthand, through professionally led courses and workshops.

We are not a one-click booking engine for immediate availability and reservations. Instead, we invite you to consider what you would like to do, take your time, ask questions, and really contemplate the creative activity you choose.

Stay in our of our handpicked locations. Whether that’s a boutique hotel immersed within the buzz of city creatives, or a historic palazzo or family residence – you will find inspiration in your surroundings. Enrich your experience as you immerse yourself in the territory and its history.

Learn

Learn and preserve Italian craftmanship. See firsthand the ancient techniques handed down over centuries. Developing creative skills, learning a handicraft, and discovering traditions can be a fantastic way to travel, plus it’s great for your own personal wellbeing. In our fast-paced modern lives, it is incredibly important we participate in selfcare – one way in which we can do this is to spend time using our hands being creative. After all, being creative is good for our physical and mental wellbeing!

We offer…

• Courses – which last a minimum of two days, hosted by local experts (all professionally certified). Our courses offer an in depth look at an artisan handicraft. You will gain a unique, close-up insight into Italian craftsmanship.
• Experiences – which can be a few hours or longer, and offer the opportunity to have a fun, bite sized experience which will inspire your creativity and curiosity.
