Our Retreat

The retreat takes place at a textile workshop which has specialised in repurposing furniture for decades. At Creative Italy we continue to consider sustainability and our impact on the environment in selecting our retreats. It was a delight to discover a studio which places the focus on reusing and recycling. To reinvent furnishings and objects in this way is truly inspiring. You will learn how to preserve and utilise the various techniques and craftsmanship to create something new and unique.

For example you may choose to make tablecloth or pillowcase using fragments of antique embroidery, being guided on the traditional techniques and designs. Our expert artisan will show you how to incorporate these fragments of history into your piece, telling your own story in the most sustainable and inspiring way
