Vera Scarpaci and the Art of Natural Perfumery

Creative Italy continues to share the stories of Italian talents who, with passion and skill, transform artisanal knowledge into unique experiences. This time, Laura Notarbartolo, co-founder of Creative Italy, interviewed Vera Scarpaci, a master in the creation of natural perfumes and guardian of an ancient art that combines technique, sensitivity, and deep knowledge of raw materials.

Vera Scarpaci has dedicated her career to researching and composing authentic fragrances, using exclusively natural ingredients. Her creations tell stories, evoke emotions, and restore the intimate bond between nature and olfactory memory.

The meeting with Vera was also the occasion to host the first event dedicated to natural perfumery within the Creative Italy School in Milazzo, set in the evocative surroundings of Feudo San Pietro. During the workshop, participants were able to create their own personalized compositions starting from a noble and iconic raw material of Sicily: jasmine. A sensory and educational experience that brought attendees closer to the work of a perfumer, showing how every fragrance is the result of study, art, and creativity.

Working with natural essences means respecting the rhythms and cycles of nature, having a deep knowledge of the characteristics of plants and resins, and knowing how to combine them in harmony. It is a choice that requires dedication, technical skills, and a sustainable approach, but one that delivers authentic, vibrant fragrances that evolve over time.

This event also marks the beginning of a path that Creative Italy is promoting: a professional course in natural perfumery, designed not only for those who wish to approach this world out of passion, but also for those who dream of pursuing a true career in perfumery.

The interview takes you into the world of Vera Scarpaci, where olfactory research meets artisanal creativity. A journey made of expertise, sensitivity, and precious raw materials, revealing how perfume can become a true language capable of expressing identity and culture.
