Mosaic is a fascinating decorative art form originating in Asia Minor and Mesopotamia. But it was during the Greco-Roman period that it reached its maximum splendour. Inspired by classical mosaic techniques, today the process has undergone many variations, however the tools have remained more or less the same, while the binders have varied in their proportions and composition over time.
