This immersive retreat offers a hands-on introduction to traditional Sicilian ceramics, guided by a master artisan inside an authentic ceramic laboratory.
Over five days, you’ll learn how to model and decorate ceramic pieces from scratch — working directly with raw clay while discovering the importance of dexterity, patience, and attention to detail. Through daily studio sessions, you’ll explore foundational techniques of shaping, surface decoration, and finishing, creating your own handmade objects along the way.

Immersive learning experience
Creative Italy retreats are designed as immersive creative journeys.
You’ll spend approximately three hours per day in the artisan’s laboratory (on alternating mornings and afternoons), learning ceramic modelling and decorative techniques directly from the maker. Alongside studio practice, a half-day visit to local ateliers and the Ceramics Museum enriches your understanding of regional craftsmanship.
Beyond technique, this experience invites you to slow down, work with your hands, and rediscover the pleasure of creating something meaningful — surrounded by Sicilian culture and tradition.
