This hands-on experience consists of one or two days where apprentices will learn the techniques of gold leaf gilding including mission and gouache. The activity will take place in workshops in Italy where the artisanal technique of gilding has been passed down through centuries of tradition. After the master decorator divulges the secrets of this ancient technique, you will have an opportunity to test your newfound skills.
We have created an itinerary that will give insight into the artistic works of gilding as well as the history of the region.
