The professional millinery course takes place in an artisan workshop and is available to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
The basic program includes:
- Historical background, milliner’s and hatter’s work.
- Knowledge of materials and fabrics, tools and work equipment.
Design and making:
- Practical demonstration of shaping the hat base and/or fascinator on a wooden mould.
- Sizing, shaping and ironing according to the fabrics used.
- Making the hat.
- methods of finishing, making and applying decorations.
- pcycling and recycling.
Millinery classes can be customized according to the student’s knowledge and requests.
